Minor Use Foundation technical consultant Adriana Castañeda met with executives at the Chilean Agency for Food Safety and Quality (ACHIPIA) in August 2022 to invite the agency to partner with the Foundation and participate in residue studies. She spoke with ACHIPIA about the progress of Foundation projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“The Foundation seeks to support farmers with minor uses, small-area crops, to give them tools to control pests and diseases. I am in Chile, inviting the country, through ACHIPIA, to participate in studies that establish the Maximum Limits for Pesticide Residues in the Codex Alimentarius,” said Adriana.
